Provincial Council elections are still a way off but the JVP has already started their campaign. They've painted the party symbol next to the X by pedestrian crossings/ traffic lights this morning. Insidious, not-so-subtle branding.
I thought you had to get permission from the Municipal Council to go round painting the roads?
Look at the things power can buy...

Have you not heard? Might is right! In any case, pedestrian crossings are only a suggestion in SL! If you're crossing on one of them then chances are people will accelerate in the hope of running you down! It is pretty sad that all this filth is put up around the elections and then never cleared away, the worst being those rubbish polythene streamers!
